SOFTWARE TESTING IN THE CLOUD

Software testing is a notoriously challenging activity. The Software Testing in the Cloud (STITC) series of events explores the intersection of three important areas: software testing, cloud computing, and system migration. Software testing in the cloud relies on underlying technology such as distributed execution environments and grid technology, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and hardware virtualization.

STITC 2010 is a full-day workshop that will focus on three key issues:

* Testing IN the cloud: Leveraging the resources provided by a cloud computing infrastructure to facilitate the concurrent execution of test cases in a virtualized environment.

* Testing OF the cloud: Testing applications that are hosted and deployed in a cloud environment.

* Migrating testing TO the cloud: Moving the testing process, test assets, and test infrastructure from their current state to facilitate either testing in the cloud or testing of the cloud.
